Thoughts on Lavender w/ Alec Ludlow
Q: What are your thought on lavender being the color of the year and making a comeback for SS23?
I love the lavender color and feel like it’s definitely a go-to for me. it makes sense that this color is coming back for SS23, it’s just really easy to pair during the warmer seasons with lighter materials. I love that it is coming around the same time as sheer clothing, I think that is such a beautiful combination, especially on sunkissed skin.
q: With the Era’s tour going on and Taylor Swift’s “lavender Haze” hit song being on the set list, what are your thoughts on how this has potentially impacted the fashion industry?
I definitely feel like Taylor Swift’s “Lavender Haze” is such a vibe for this season too and it all just coordinates for the aesthetic of this Spring/Summer season! I’ve loved every look she has created for the Era’s tour but her Lavender Haze look is my favorite one so far and I love that she is able to have an impact in the fashion industry with this song and with her tour in its entirety.
q: What would you say is the best way to pair lavender with sheer for the ss23 trends?
I think the best way to wear a lavender color with sheer is by wearing a sheer body suit paired with black leather pants and a nice oversized blazer to complete the look. I also feel like a sheer lavender dress is perfect for this season and can be paired with a cute set of silver sandals to add contrast, with a wooden crochet bag.
There are so many ways to pair lavender during the Spring/Summer months and it’s the perfect time to experiment with sheer materials, especially sundresses!
